Python math.asinh()

math.asinh(x) function returns the arc hyperbolic sine of x.

asinh(x) = log(x + sqrt(x^2 + 1))

Syntax

The syntax to call asinh() function is

math.asinh(x)

where

Parameter Required Description
x Yes A numeric value.

Examples

In the following example, we find the inverse hyperbolic sine of 20, using asinh() function of math module.

Python Program

import math

x = 20
result = math.asinh(x)
print('asinh(x) :', result)
Run Code

Output

asinh(x) : 3.6895038689889055
